Maya Ava

12.27.05 > Complete > Maya Ava

Title: Maya Ava
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 4:07.092
Genre: Trip-Hop

There's far too much meaning behind the title of this track to fit into a one-paragraph summary; wiki it! This track takes the slow progressive route, but blends each new evolution smoothly to prevent detraction and, yet, with such surprising changes (when they do come) that I expect the first listen through for each listener will be the best. Successive listens are for obsessives, mostly. "Maya Ava" bridges the gap between "IO Unit" and "Liminal," and can be played in sequence or looped on its own.

~San Jaya Prime, Trochlear Recordings Ltd.

In Other News
: I have gone back and re-mastered every single track on the compilation, currently entitled "IO Limiters." Each track has been re-mastered, given special attention as to the timing and, in some cases, re-sampled. I have finished the cover and posted it in the entry below this one, and will be sending my test-group, "Maya Ava" along with every other finalized track.

H-Automus

12.26.05 > Complete > H-Automus

Title: H-Automus
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 4:48.104
Genre: Breakbeat

Originally meant to be the initial track, I've currently sided with Mushuto and placed this track directly after "Technophobia" and before "La Manera del Dolor." I've also done a few slight mods to "La Manera" to grow out of this track and into "IO." This track, midway, switches up the beat but carries the melody, then sets to playing around between beats while introducing new elements. Near the finale, it is a war of beats as the full evolution comes 'round. "H-Automus" is short for Homo Automus--"the automated human."

~San Jaya Prime, Trochlear Recordings Ltd.

IO

12.25.05 > Complete > IO

Title: IO
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 4:46.511
Genre: Trip-Hop

Just as "Technophobia" was designed as a cross-track between "Source of Warmth" and "La Manera del Dolor," so, too, is "IO" a cross-track between "La Manera" and "Sombranoche." It is either a journey onto another world, or beneath the ocean, and maintains a pace that feels of trip-hop and ambient both. It helps fill a hole that was once an awkward transition from smooth beats of "Manera" to driving beats of "Sombranoche."

~San Jaya Prime, Trochlear Recordings Ltd.

Remembrance

12.25.05 > Complete > Remembrance

Title: Remembrance
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 5:42.542
Genre: Ambient

Ever since I realized just how much my material sounds spawned from another planet, I've been running with it. "Remembrance," designed to be the final tracks on this collection, acts as both a re-cap of the album and as if an alien were picking up broken transmissions from Earth (Terra Firma). I finally finished the sound levels, and am quite pleased with its placement. This, however, will be the only ballad-type-track on this collection.

Technophobia

12.15.05 > Complete > Technophobia

Title: Technophobia
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 4:42.016
Genre: Trip-Hop

If there were such a genre as "glitch-hop," I would list this track under that genre. I am about to forward it to Mushuto for review and, if he likes it, it will be taking a place between "Source of Warmth" and "La Manera del Dolor." The number of electrical sequences in this track is designed to provoke near seizures in technophobic listeners, who shouldn't be listening to electronica in the first place. By my conjecture, it is machine that is humanities rightful replacement in the measure of evolution, and its only threat is the fear of this. That is technophobia.

~San Jaya Prime, Trochlear Recordings Ltd.

La Manera del Dolor

12.15.05 > Complete > La Manera del Dolor

Title: La Manera del Dolor
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 5:16.812
Genre: Breakbeat

This track is my own experiment in simplicity, using a limited amount of samples, and only timing and layering as tools for variation. "La Manera del Dolor" means, loosely, "The Way of Pain." This, like the previous two tracks, is a philisophical dissertation in musical form. It can easily be separated into two parts, as it shifts halfway through the track and doesn't bring the whole of itself together until its peak near the end. On the CD, I am currently planning for it to precede "Sombranoche" in track order.

~San Jaya Prime, Trochlear Recordings Ltd.

Oh, Thanks, I Forgot....

To my friend that "critiques" my music, I did like the new Madonna track, until she ruined it by playing the ABBA song that was sampled.... One week, one week.....

THIS IS A TEST

I have a friend, and she knows who she is, that I send new "demo" tracks to when I complete them. Also, I have given her 2 MP3 disc with all the material that I have completed. She say's she listens to them. She also says she reads the blog. Well let's see if she does. She has one week to reply with how exellent Trochlear Recordings is or I will publish all her photos and reveal her name.....

Also, San Jaya Prime has made my day! 2 great tracks, complete....(Refer to blog entries below)

Now I must retire to waiting for UPS to show it's evil face, a day late......

Mushuto.

Source of Warmth

12.15.05 > Complete > Source of Warmth

Title: Source of Warmth
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 4:00.196
Genre: Drum & Bass

Built on a similar, 5-step progressive format as "Liminal," this track aims, instead, to portray an opposite state of mind to its predecessor. The title is meant to be misleading, then, once into the track, to become a cruel irony. The track is meant to detail the progression of war, and its natural outcome that must be due to escelation. It's outcome is both a "source of warmth" in the literal sense, and a relief upon the planet in the metaphorical sense.

~San Jaya Prime, Trochlear Recordings Ltd.

Liminal

12.14.05 > Complete > Liminal

Title: Liminal
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 4:48.052
Genre: Breakbeat

I began looping a single sample for this track, and adding in samples. I couldn't bring myself to stop looping it, so I just drew it out and started adding more and more elements as it played. I left it playing even when it came time to actually format the track. The outcome is "Liminal," a progressive breakbeat track with many different initial stages, a warped core, and a climatic finally that is actually built for looping... just in case any listeners are as obsessive as I can be.

Pastafarian Triumphant

So... tired... but the Pastafarian banner flies high over trochlear. It's highly experimental code, since I've never seen this type of object made before, but I tested it in both IE and Firefox. His Noodlyness--He born of the Virgin Marinara--shines bright upon Trochlear. Now... sleep...

The Peacelove Syndrome....

I was wanting to put out a proper thanx to Peacelove Productions. The majority of my music (Mushuto/Schema) is produced with Peacelove samples and loops. Out of all the releases I have purchased, not once have been dissapointed with their material. I have spent hundreds of dollars on loops, and nothing compares to the sound quality you get from them.

I just bought EZ-Rollers Producer Pack from Zero-G for $110.00 (USD) and was extremely dissappointed. The sound quality of the majority on this release are fucked off in mono, mono, why? Isn't this shit for the dancefloor? Well evidently not from this release. (I had to get this out)

But if you want 100% quality at a fuckin' awesome price, and with a direct download option, check out www.peaceloveproductions.com , you won't be dissappointed.

Others to check out that are 100% quality are from www.loopmasters.com

Time Interrupt

11.25.05 > Complete > Time Interrupt

Title: Time Interrupt
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 5:37.842
Genre: Glitch

I love glitch. It's sad that so many ears find more pleasure in repetition than in intelligent design and variance. Despite the minority for this genre, I had to make a glitch track for the collection. In the end, I'm going with Mushuto's word: "It makes the perfect 'in-between' track to bridge 'Sombranoche' with 'Depthcharm.'" The variance and haunting ambience each have their place in "Time Interrupt," a track inspired by an experience of my own outside of Ux-Mal and the track "Ten Blessings" from the ECR LP.

~San Jaya Prime, Trochlear Recordings Ltd.

Mi Tigrita

11.28.05 > Complete > Mi Tigrita

Title: Mi Tigrita
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 4:24.072
Genre: Breakbeat

This track began with me just playing around a little with various samples. When I looked up at around 7am, the track was done, and I found myself whistling it when I woke up later that day. It is a catchy track, with a lot of breaks and switchups to keep things interesting.

11.20.05 > Complete > IO Unit (FSK Cation Mix)

Title: IO Unit (FSK Cation Mix)
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 4:40.216
Genre: Progressive Trip-Hop

I wasn't sure, going into this, how this track would work out. All I knew was that I had never heard a track using radio frequencies (FSK) as an instrument, and I wanted to make the attempt myself. Once completed, I sat back and listened to it. After hearing once, I wasn't sure. Hearing it twice, I was hooked. The verdict from others, so far, is that is strangely addictive, but I still have to hear back the word from Mushuto on his verdict (which I look to foremost).

IO Stream

11.18.05 > Complete > IO Stream

Title: IO Stream (Original Mix), IO Stream (Surge Mix)
Author: San Jaya Prime
Running Time: 4:35.775 (Original Mix), 4:38.803 (Surge Mix)
Genre: Drum & Bass

(Original Mix)--I started this track much earlier, when the day was still yesterdayish and not to much of todayish. However, all because I had started working on this track, my body wouldn't rest until it was finished to my satisfaction. This is my first all-out drum & bass addition to the label, and easily my current personal favorite. The acid line has been stuck in my head all night.

(Surge Mix)--The surge increases the rate of variability in the beat, extends the ambient middle section and raises the acid line to a sonic peak before bringing back in the beat and beginning the slow desent towards closure. The Surge Mix is to portray alternative mixing methods with this track, as I enjoy the Original Mix more.

IO Mind

11.17.05 > Complete > IO Mind

Title: IO Mind
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 4:12.016
Genre: Breakbeat

An experimentation with contrasts and transitions that, in my opionion turned out well. The first stage is fluid transition; second stage a staccato contrast to the first section; third stage is the inclusion of all the elements in a fluid wave.

~San Jaya Prime, Trochlear Recordings Ltd.

"Release The Pressure"

The tracklisting for my first "Mushuto" release is complete, thank you Prime....The label art and inlay is complete...\end

Now, the first "ECR" release....I have a ton of designs, it's just the task of sorting and destroying.
I have an idea of the tracks that I want to release, one track has been set in stone, "Lost/Liver".
Yeah, the track is 16 minutes or so, but I feel it would close the CD, sort of like completing the story....The story behind the track "Lost/Liver" started 2 weeks after 9/11. It's my take on what I felt the hours I spent in front of the television watching the events unfold. I had started watching the newscast just moments before the second plane was flown into the second tower. Utter disbelief. Shock. Anger. Sadness. Lost. This song is about the waiting, the searching, and the vulgarities of our species. Our total disregard for human life, no matter what our racial background is, we as human are to blame for all traumas that we may endure. Maybe if we were more prone to acceptance of one another, and cared about what the other persons beliefs were, and respect that, maybe, just maybe, we might be a world that could coexist with one another. But, until then, we will still die by the hand of our own.....\end

And onto "Schema". CD art and what not is complete. Tracklisting not. Help Prime....

More as it comes....

With respect,

Mushuto

"San Jaya Prime"

"I like when I'm having a case of the Monday's and someone comes along and just makes everything much more enjoyable....San Jaya Prime just sent a new track, "Nightshade" and I must say I am extremely impressed, to the point of jealousy, but we all know that won't get us anywhere....It's great to know I have a partner that is on the same page as I am....
I've worked with some in the past, and I'm like, "Do you hear what the f**k your playin'"?
This track "Nightshade" is precise and smooth. The synth and pad transitions are like butta'.
There's a broken beat, but with how the track unfolds the balance is on point...There is nothing broken about this....."
-Mushuto

Yes, this one's finished. I am putting off mixing, for a while, on "The ADHD Revolution" to concentrate my time and energy towards more tracks for the label. "Inspirational Playlist"....

I'm really not a "nu-metal" fan, thanks Limp, but my ___________________* sent me a track that I have come to enjoy. Sevendust's "Suffocate". I've heard other songs by Sevendust, but like I said, nu metal isn't my cup o' tea. But this one is enjoyable. Thanks __________________*

Right here, right now, as I post, Dieselboy's "The 6ixth Session" disc 2, track "Render", is laying the format for the endless possibilities that might guide me through the day.
Waiting on word from "Prime" as to what possibilities might transpire on Saturday. This is our first "meeting", and according to the Laws of Murphy**, it more than likely will rain, it never fails.
I curse you Murphy.**

So like most of you's, there's a "need to know" what playlist that pulsates in our IPOD's?
Honestly, I don't have one and don't plan on getting one, it's just not in season.
But, here is my "Inspirational Playlist".....

Weekend Players "Pursuit of Happiness"
Technical Itch "Diagnostics "
Dom and Roland "Chronology"
Stakka and Skynet "Clockwork"
Biohazard "Uncivilization"
Bjork "Post"

Norma Jean "O' God The Aftermath"
Photek "Form and Function"
Slayer "God Hates Us All"
DJ Wally "The Stoned Ranger Rides Again"
Autechre "Untitled"

There are others, but these are the ones that jump out at me for the moment.

Thank you.

What is "Qi Gong"?

Qi Gong (pronounced chee gung) is an ancient Taoist healing system that is similar to yoga in that it emphasizes proper breathing and specific body movements to stimulate and direct the flow of qi, or the life energy, throughout the body. The main objective of Qi Gong is to balance yin and yang energies. The discipline is practiced by the Chinese to develop specific powers and to maintain health by collecting vital energy in the solar plexus.

(CST), because my brain started playing "Kokamo" by none other than The Beach Boys, and of course it (my brain) could not seem to play the whole track, I guess the needle was stuck, or the record was damaged. But any case, I feel that most could sympathize with my agony. I should be thankful that "Copa Cabana" didn't play, huh. Now on to what this post is about.

Since 2001, I have produced some material under the name Epileptik Cerebral Reaktor, and as I had mentioned in a prior post, most had not been released on any format, or even previewed by anyone. And I started thinking, why not put the
material out there? So, if your musical taste span from IDM\Glitch\Industrial\Breaks\Tech-Step, then send a request to trochlearmedia@sbcglobal.net.
All tracks are free, a promotional gimmick, encoded @ 128kbps\MP3 format. Also, there is artwork, which is featured above this entry.

Enjoi.

(Note:This release does contain some material that some would find offensive.)

Oh, and I would like to wish my brother a Happy Birthday. You know who you are, "Reidicans".

"Maltodextrin Overdose...."

First and foremost, let me introduce myself...My name is ***** aka Mushuto. I currently reside in Austin, Texas, and have done so for the past 8 years...I enjoy windy walks on Town Lake, watching APD chase "cluckers" through my backyard, producing electronic music, and watching Japanese splatter films without subtitles (due to the fact that most dialogue in such films is meaningless, kinda' like a Woody Allen film). All that aside, I am starting this "blog" to cure the boredom that plagues me day to day, and also to somewhat plug my production work and whatever else that might come about. As I said prior, I produce "electronic” music, spanning various genres, from drum and bass to trance, glitch/IDM, gabber, and trip-hop....I stated 8 years ago, mainly performing and producing "big-beat" tracks, which I had some success with two tracks that I released over in Germany, "With Regards, Leland", and "Freezerburn", both of which were picked up by Raw 42 Music UK for TV/Film licensing. From that point on I started producing under the name "Epileptik Cerebral Reaktor", concentrating on "industrial/ambient/gabber".... The majority of tracks that I produced under Epileptik Cerebral Reaktor were never released or even previewed by anyone for that matter, and not due to "embarrassment" but due to other situations that caused life to go into left-field.... While in left-field, production came to a halt, and had to mainly focus on real-life (career, health, relationships, criminal endeavors, drug experimentation, rehab, blah,blah,blah....) A 3 year hiatus ensued, not much memory of that time period, and then experienced what most near-death survivors would call a "moment of clarity".... Back to earth, somewhat..... 2004. I resumed producing tracks under Mushuto, and have since released 10 tracks through Karma Download, a digital music downloading service, based out of the UK.... July of 2004 I was nominated and won "Artist of the Month" and was described as "a D&B wiz from stateside" from the staff of Karma Download.... Future. I am in the process of completing my first release, and starting a label, based solely from Austin, Texas.... Only time will tell what will happen, but for the most part it's all about keepin' positive.... As I close, I would like to give proper respect to the following persons, in no particular order.... Gina Hernandez, for standing by me, caring for me and showing me that there is love, understanding and trust....Thank you. Kan & DC, for critiquing my work and promoting when possible, proper.... Lucien, my dog, for the ability of handling the loud music that she has to contend with on a daily basis....

Until next time.....
