Technophobia

12.15.05 > Complete > Technophobia

Title: Technophobia
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 4:42.016
Genre: Trip-Hop

If there were such a genre as "glitch-hop," I would list this track under that genre. I am about to forward it to Mushuto for review and, if he likes it, it will be taking a place between "Source of Warmth" and "La Manera del Dolor." The number of electrical sequences in this track is designed to provoke near seizures in technophobic listeners, who shouldn't be listening to electronica in the first place. By my conjecture, it is machine that is humanities rightful replacement in the measure of evolution, and its only threat is the fear of this. That is technophobia.

So far I likey what I hear. But, in order to be full on about how I feel, I have to sort thru the distress that Karma has so given to me with open arms. Oh, and UPS showing up at 10 PM (CST) cheesin' me about how busy it is. Well I fuckin' know that, but when I have delivery time set for 10 AM (CST), and I pay the extra fee's then I want what I pay for. I done. Smile.

I hear ya. I've been checking Karma for two hours and still no sign, but that's only a matter of time. UPS is just something you deal with, however, and only get the more worse for wear when holidays come 'round.

Well, it's circa 11:30pm, and I just got back from Karma. Still no sign. I guess I'll check it again in the morning.

When you do sit back down with "Technophobia," and I do hope you'll wait until you get a chance to breathe outside of this stress, you have to listen to it in a playlist with this order:
1) "Source of Warmth"
2) "Technophobia"
3) "La Manera del Dolor"

I don't consider "Technophobia" to be high enough quality for a single, but it makes the perfect middle ground between these two tracks and prepares listeners for "IO Unit" when that track comes up later.

I'm working on the cover art right now, and will be returning to another jam session when the spirit takes me there.

Comin' in at 13:59, these do mend great together in this order.
"Source of Warmth" I would have to say has an "EPIC" sound to it.
"Technophobia" is balancing the "natural" elements of the earth at the same time it is being fed the "technological" aspect of our exsistence. Then, the most fuckin' awesome "Prime" track to date, "La Manera del Dolor" tells the journey of what we have become, a machine, no longer human.
Thhis is just how I feel. Great storytellin'....

Beautifully insightful, and the very thing (most of) I'm hoping at least a few other listeners pull away from this part of the CD.
