Maya Ava

12.27.05 > Complete > Maya Ava

Title: Maya Ava
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 4:07.092
Genre: Trip-Hop

There's far too much meaning behind the title of this track to fit into a one-paragraph summary; wiki it! This track takes the slow progressive route, but blends each new evolution smoothly to prevent detraction and, yet, with such surprising changes (when they do come) that I expect the first listen through for each listener will be the best. Successive listens are for obsessives, mostly. "Maya Ava" bridges the gap between "IO Unit" and "Liminal," and can be played in sequence or looped on its own.

In Other News
: I have gone back and re-mastered every single track on the compilation, currently entitled "IO Limiters." Each track has been re-mastered, given special attention as to the timing and, in some cases, re-sampled. I have finished the cover and posted it in the entry below this one, and will be sending my test-group, "Maya Ava" along with every other finalized track.

H-Automus

12.26.05 > Complete > H-Automus

Title: H-Automus
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 4:48.104
Genre: Breakbeat

Originally meant to be the initial track, I've currently sided with Mushuto and placed this track directly after "Technophobia" and before "La Manera del Dolor." I've also done a few slight mods to "La Manera" to grow out of this track and into "IO." This track, midway, switches up the beat but carries the melody, then sets to playing around between beats while introducing new elements. Near the finale, it is a war of beats as the full evolution comes 'round. "H-Automus" is short for Homo Automus--"the automated human."

IO

12.25.05 > Complete > IO

Title: IO
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 4:46.511
Genre: Trip-Hop

Just as "Technophobia" was designed as a cross-track between "Source of Warmth" and "La Manera del Dolor," so, too, is "IO" a cross-track between "La Manera" and "Sombranoche." It is either a journey onto another world, or beneath the ocean, and maintains a pace that feels of trip-hop and ambient both. It helps fill a hole that was once an awkward transition from smooth beats of "Manera" to driving beats of "Sombranoche."

Remembrance

12.25.05 > Complete > Remembrance

Title: Remembrance
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 5:42.542
Genre: Ambient

Ever since I realized just how much my material sounds spawned from another planet, I've been running with it. "Remembrance," designed to be the final tracks on this collection, acts as both a re-cap of the album and as if an alien were picking up broken transmissions from Earth (Terra Firma). I finally finished the sound levels, and am quite pleased with its placement. This, however, will be the only ballad-type-track on this collection.

Technophobia

12.15.05 > Complete > Technophobia

Title: Technophobia
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 4:42.016
Genre: Trip-Hop

If there were such a genre as "glitch-hop," I would list this track under that genre. I am about to forward it to Mushuto for review and, if he likes it, it will be taking a place between "Source of Warmth" and "La Manera del Dolor." The number of electrical sequences in this track is designed to provoke near seizures in technophobic listeners, who shouldn't be listening to electronica in the first place. By my conjecture, it is machine that is humanities rightful replacement in the measure of evolution, and its only threat is the fear of this. That is technophobia.

La Manera del Dolor

12.15.05 > Complete > La Manera del Dolor

Title: La Manera del Dolor
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 5:16.812
Genre: Breakbeat

This track is my own experiment in simplicity, using a limited amount of samples, and only timing and layering as tools for variation. "La Manera del Dolor" means, loosely, "The Way of Pain." This, like the previous two tracks, is a philisophical dissertation in musical form. It can easily be separated into two parts, as it shifts halfway through the track and doesn't bring the whole of itself together until its peak near the end. On the CD, I am currently planning for it to precede "Sombranoche" in track order.

~San Jaya Prime, Trochlear Recordings Ltd.

Oh, Thanks, I Forgot....

To my friend that "critiques" my music, I did like the new Madonna track, until she ruined it by playing the ABBA song that was sampled.... One week, one week.....

THIS IS A TEST

I have a friend, and she knows who she is, that I send new "demo" tracks to when I complete them. Also, I have given her 2 MP3 disc with all the material that I have completed. She say's she listens to them. She also says she reads the blog. Well let's see if she does. She has one week to reply with how exellent Trochlear Recordings is or I will publish all her photos and reveal her name.....

Also, San Jaya Prime has made my day! 2 great tracks, complete....(Refer to blog entries below)

Now I must retire to waiting for UPS to show it's evil face, a day late......

Source of Warmth

12.15.05 > Complete > Source of Warmth

Title: Source of Warmth
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 4:00.196
Genre: Drum & Bass

Built on a similar, 5-step progressive format as "Liminal," this track aims, instead, to portray an opposite state of mind to its predecessor. The title is meant to be misleading, then, once into the track, to become a cruel irony. The track is meant to detail the progression of war, and its natural outcome that must be due to escelation. It's outcome is both a "source of warmth" in the literal sense, and a relief upon the planet in the metaphorical sense.

Liminal

12.14.05 > Complete > Liminal

Title: Liminal
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 4:48.052
Genre: Breakbeat

I began looping a single sample for this track, and adding in samples. I couldn't bring myself to stop looping it, so I just drew it out and started adding more and more elements as it played. I left it playing even when it came time to actually format the track. The outcome is "Liminal," a progressive breakbeat track with many different initial stages, a warped core, and a climatic finally that is actually built for looping... just in case any listeners are as obsessive as I can be.

RD\01

A rough draft.
Rendered by Mushuto.
December 2005

Pastafarian Triumphant

So... tired... but the Pastafarian banner flies high over trochlear. It's highly experimental code, since I've never seen this type of object made before, but I tested it in both IE and Firefox. His Noodlyness--He born of the Virgin Marinara--shines bright upon Trochlear. Now... sleep...

The Peacelove Syndrome....

I was wanting to put out a proper thanx to Peacelove Productions. The majority of my music (Mushuto/Schema) is produced with Peacelove samples and loops. Out of all the releases I have purchased, not once have been dissapointed with their material. I have spent hundreds of dollars on loops, and nothing compares to the sound quality you get from them.

I just bought EZ-Rollers Producer Pack from Zero-G for $110.00 (USD) and was extremely dissappointed. The sound quality of the majority on this release are fucked off in mono, mono, why? Isn't this shit for the dancefloor? Well evidently not from this release. (I had to get this out)

But if you want 100% quality at a fuckin' awesome price, and with a direct download option, check out www.peaceloveproductions.com , you won't be dissappointed.

Others to check out that are 100% quality are from www.loopmasters.com

Mojo's Sessions Volume 2

San Jaya Prime.........

Mojo's...Sadly, word is this great Austin landmark is closing at the end of December. I think it's because of the 8 Starbucks that are located across the street.

Release Updates...

On the Mushuto release "Flex Louder" I, being not with it forgot the title track for the release, stupid, huh! So now the track was uploaded and ready to go...So "Flex Louder" is now on the release "Flex Louder".

Epileptik Cerebral Reaktor's E.P. "Beauté par le Chaos" has been uploaded and has another track to accompany it, "Nilphilist", so a total running time of 20 minutes.

Time Interrupt

11.25.05 > Complete > Time Interrupt

Title: Time Interrupt
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 5:37.842
Genre: Glitch

I love glitch. It's sad that so many ears find more pleasure in repetition than in intelligent design and variance. Despite the minority for this genre, I had to make a glitch track for the collection. In the end, I'm going with Mushuto's word: "It makes the perfect 'in-between' track to bridge 'Sombranoche' with 'Depthcharm.'" The variance and haunting ambience each have their place in "Time Interrupt," a track inspired by an experience of my own outside of Ux-Mal and the track "Ten Blessings" from the ECR LP.

Mi Tigrita

11.28.05 > Complete > Mi Tigrita

Title: Mi Tigrita
Author: San Jaya Prime
Time: 4:24.072
Genre: Breakbeat

This track began with me just playing around a little with various samples. When I looked up at around 7am, the track was done, and I found myself whistling it when I woke up later that day. It is a catchy track, with a lot of breaks and switchups to keep things interesting.
